Nuthatch bird knitting pattern by Claire Garland
These lockdown days we’ve all been living through has made me so much more aware of the birds living near me. I think it’s something to do with having the time to look out at my garden and watch the different birds come and go. Robins, blue tits and sparrows I knew were regular visitors to our garden. Then I started spotting beautiful specimens I’d never noticed before. I dug out a lovely old vintage bird spotting book and discovered I have visiting wrens, goldfinches, chaffinches, long tailed tits and nuthatches. So, I was thrilled when I was able to recognise this beautiful nuthatch knitting pattern by Claire Garland.
If you fancy making it, here are all the details and materials you need. There’s also a really helpful youtube tutorial to help. Hope you enjoy making your own knitted nuthatch. There’s also a lovely wren pattern here
