Ravenscourt Apothecary is the place to find all-natural perfume, vegan soap and simple, nourishing skincare. Ravenscourt Apothecary was created in 2013 in London shortly after founder of the business, Tanya, relocated to Europe from the United States. New in the UK, she was at a crossroads and craving a creative outlet. Her heart was set on serving the world one bar of vegan soap and bottle of perfume at a time.
Today, she lives in Devon, England with her husband Harry and cat Bergamot. When not thinking up new natural fragrances, she can be found practicing yoga, baking sourdough bread or photographing Bergamot.

Ravenscourt Apothecary natural perfumes are inspired by Victorian literature and Tanya’s love of unusual teas.:
‘It is a joy to take a remarkable literary character, such as Jane Eyre, and express her spirit in the form of a scent,’ she says. ‘Equally, tea in all its variety and complexity has a strong hold on my imagination and senses. To capture the experience of slowly sipping a cup of fragrant green tea – I see it as a delightful challenge. All Ravenscourt Apothecary perfumes are carefully crafted with natural essential oils, resins and absolutes. I choose not to work with any synthetic materials or fragrance oils – that’s a promise.
If you’re new to the world of natural oil perfume, you’re in for a treat. Without the harsh intensity of the conventional alcohol sprays, it unfolds in a unique and subtle way on each person. Natural perfume evolves with your own body chemistry and body heat. Never overpowering, it will only be revealed to those who come in close contact with you, like an intimate secret.’
The Art Of Natural Soaps
Every single bar of Ravenscourt Apothecary soap is made by hand using the traditional cold process, and allowed to cure for at least four weeks. Like fine wine, natural soap only gets better with time. The long curing process results in a hard long-lasting bar with abundant lather and excellent conditioning properties.
From creating gentle recipes that respect sensitive skin, to sourcing the finest vegan ingredients, I personally handle every aspect of soap making. All my soap is handmade in small batches, using only pure and simple ingredients of plant origin. I am proud to handcraft vegan soap that is all-natural and cruelty-free. No animal ingredients or animal testing is involved, ever. Additionally, my soap does not contain palm oil, as its production leads to the destruction of irreplaceable habitat for the Sumatran tigers and orangutans.
