Original doll and animal PDF toy knitting patterns Established in 2004 Mary Jane’s TEAROOM designs are original and unique knitting patterns created to make dolls and animals. Most recent patterns are now being translated with several available in DUTCH as well as the original ENGLISH versions. Some patterns are also available with a choice to knit ‘in the round’ or to work ‘flat and seamed’ and all details are available in individual listings where this applies. Adorable teddy bear patterns you’ll love to knit
All of the Mary Janes Tearoom patterns are available to be worked ‘flat and seamed’ and some are also available to be worked ‘in the round’.
You will need to install Adobe Reader to open any PDF knitting pattern which is FREE and can be found here TEAROOM patterns are written in ENGLISH and are very easy to follow (* Some patterns are now also available in DUTCH – see individual listings for details) Each pattern is between 10 – 22 pages long. They also contain lots of photographs to help you complete your project.
Detailed information is provided about all original yarns used and amounts required should you need or wish to to substitute yarns.
Standard DK yarn or Worsted weight is used for the bodies 4ply/Dk or Worsted weight is used for clothing depending on the pattern choice. All details are given in individual listings.
Basic stitches are used in the patterns including Knit, Purl, k2tog, skpo, kfb, m1L/m1R, ssk, Plus casting on along an edge and basic cast off. The most recent patterns contain links to techniques.
Patterns are worked ‘back and forth’ using 2 single pointed knitting needles or ‘in the round’ using dpns/circular needles according to the information in individual listings
Some of the patterns include simple colourwork techniques in the form of intarsia, fair isle or duplicate stitch. In this case, colour charts are included which are designed to be easy to follow and complete successfully, although you will need to have a basic understanding of reading a chart.
