Tom Raffield designs and makes a range of contemporary furniture and lighting. The designs represent Tom’s beliefs, promote good design and champion the materials he loves. Each Tom Raffield product is hand-made by skilled craftsmen, in his woodland workshop in Cornwall. Every piece is individually finished with the care and attention of a fine piece of art.

Tom Raffield’s ethos

‘Sustainability is important to us which is why we want to be the solution to the throw-away culture in many of our lives. We believe that every piece of furniture and lighting must be beautiful in form and also practical in function. Utilising the traditional craft of steam-bending wood we create pieces that will also become harmonious for years to come.

The journey that each Tom Raffield product takes inspires us. From its infancy as a sustainably harvested piece of timber, through meticulous working to a finished product. The narrative of each design takes on a new meaning when acting in conjunction with our clients own space.

We work with many clients and on a variety of projects which include domestic settings and commercial contracts. Tom’s designs are based on natural organic forms and yet the poetry of each product works with countless environments.’

Tom Raffield Ltd designs and manufactures steam-bent, wooden lighting and furniture and has been doing so since 2008. Proudly hand-making each product to stand the test of time and become the cherished antiques of the future.
