The first thing I needle felted was a cat. Then I made woodland animals. But something about the birds I watched flitting to and fro outside my window captivated me and led me to create my miniature felted British birds collection.

Each bird is made using only sheep’s wool. I felt using a very fine needle, which binds the strands of wool together. Photographs of the bird give me guidance and after some hours the miniature bird emerges.

I happily accept commissions and my past work for customers has included a rare breed calf, a polar bear and a life size squirrel. 

Each bird takes over 5 hours to make and is made from 100% British wool. If desired, it can be threaded or pinned to make unique accessories or decorations.

Your bird will come in a recycled cardboard gift box wrapped in tissue. Please do get in touch should you have any special requirements and I will be happy to accommodate.
