Feels like Summer has barely got going here and I’ve just been reliably informed by Pinterest that ‘Christmas sewing ideas’ is ‘trending with my community right now’ – so the implication is I really should pull my festive finger out. Ridiculous, I thought, whilst tapping in a half-hearted search. Just to see… Then I came across the Not Even a Mouse Christmas decoration sewing project on Etsy and then a whole set of 12 Days of Christmas patterns by the same maker. Suddenly it makes perfect sense to be seeking out festive sewing project ideas now. I’m not the fastest – or most adept – at sewing, so in all honesty I’d be lucky to finish all 12 of these decorations in time for decorating the tree this year – even if I got cracking right away.
So let’s agree we’re not going to miss out on any Summer sunshine that comes our way, but that we can still get ahead on Christmas sewing projects. So, as and when the nights do eventually start to draw in again, we have our plans ready to get really stuck into and enjoy. With this in mind, I’ve pulled together the ideas I’ve found to share with you. As always, I’d love to hear from you with your ideas too.
As it was this decoration that started me off, here’s the Not Even A Mouse pattern.
