the Martha Brook story began with one girl and her printer. Martha quit her corporate career in 2013 with the dream of starting her own stationery business. From small beginnings in her spare bedroom, we’ve grown into the feel-good lifestyle brand we are today.
We exist to create personalised stationery which isn’t just beautiful but genuinely helps people to live their life with greater intention. Designed to uplift and inspire, Martha Brook has grown due to the passion of our community and it’s been quite the journey!

At Martha Brook (find our more about us here), we’re committed to and invested in caring for our planet and we are continually working on ways to improve our sustainability. We’re proud that we…
Monitor our supply chain
We are proud to be a British company and work predominantly with local and national suppliers. All our products are printed right here in England and your personalised orders are made in our West London studio. You can count on us to only use paper that is FSC certified. FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council and these guys look after our world’s forests. This means our paper is sustainable and eco-friendly, coming from responsibly sourced forests. Cool, right?! We also ensure we’re completely compliant and up to date with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Introduced a Recycled Coffee Cup Notebook Collection
Turning trash into treasure, we created a new collection of eco-friendly notebooks made from coffee cups destined for landfill. How, you ask? We found an exciting new process that extracts the paper fibres back from the cups so we could create a notebook, available in three beautiful colours and personalised with your name…what a transformation!
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We’re working to reduce waste and the consumption of resources as much as we can. We ensure all unavoidable waste, such as clippings, is recycled, reused, recovered or disposed of responsibly. There are also plenty of bins labelled around the office so our team know how to correctly divide up waste materials that we can’t reuse.
Partnership with In Kind Direct
As we personalise your pieces, we do make the odd mistake so as of last year we partnered with UK based charity, In Kind Direct. We distribute any notebooks we can’t use to their network of community centres, schools and shelters, ensuring no usable product goes to waste.
Remove all plastic packaging
As of 2020 we’re thrilled to have removed all plastic packaging from our products. As well as reducing and removing unnecessary packaging such as cellophanes on cards, we use recyclable and biodegradable alternatives such as packing chips made from natural corn starch, paper padded envelopes and tissue paper. We encourage you to reuse or recycle any outer packaging you receive from us!
